Default DSS axle problem/question

bought a new set of DSS axles for my dc2, but the passenger side axles is 1" longer (collapsed and uncollapsed) than the factory honda unit. DSS said that this was normal, but i'd think having an extra inch would throw off the geometry and possibly cause damage. The drive's side is exactly the same lenght , but they insist that its "normal"......has anyone experinced this?

Pics: the two axles aren't lined up exactly, but you can still see the inner shaft going into the transmission is a lot longer.

If DSS said that it was normal, I would take their word for it. The people at DSS know what they are doing so just trust them. My axles are exactly the same as yours and they did go on normal and I haven't had any problems for two years.

wow really? I guess that makes me feel better lol........ I was worried because at first they said it was normal for it to be about 1/2" bigger, that the stage 2.9's where their most popular, and accounts for most of their shipping volume. I told them mine is 1" longer and asked if it was possible that they were mislabeled with all that product volume.

so for the people that had/have the axles that were longer than stock...how much longer were yours?
