Ok, i got my 450's in the mail today and (not being told this) one pintle cap is missing and one is broken belowthe pintle itself.

Will this affect the flow or pattern? Should i ditch these and find some in better shape?

 

how much did you pay for them first off. It you paid really cheap like 20 bucks just get them rebuilt if you paid lot ask for refund and get another set

 

60 bucks. think i should?

 

i know rebuild of the injector will be about 15-25 each one so thats a choice you need to make

I've heard that a broken pintle will NOT affect the spray... Don't quote me though, as I have NO experience with the situation.

Your talking that the little cap around the actual metal piece right?

2 of mine were broken and I freaked out to. Apparently affect nothing and Im runing them now

Just make sure the metal point isnt kinked or pushed in

Maybe take a little extra care when storing them

But there perfect if its just the black plastic on the outside

 

ok, next question. i havent pulled my stock ones yet. What do i do about seals for the 2 that are broken?

 

go to napa and get some fuel orings not that hard. also on the pintle just check the point like stated above make sure it not damaged

When I recieved a set of DSM's I bought basically all of the pintles were cracked. While unwrapping them one of the pintles fell off! I figured that rahter than there being a possibility of the pintles falling into my combustion chamber I would just remove them. I did and there was no problems at all.

the black plastic caps dont do crap. i had 2 of my 4 broken and my car ran fine. you will have to bore out some oem civic injector seals to make the dsms fit properly
