drive with no tune
If you seen my other boost you'll see my problem. Now, i have an appointement with my tuner next week but how can i drive to him with the setup (i took out 880cc injectors, 2.5 bar map sensor and po6 ectune) but since my tune is **** i put stock ecu and injectors and map sensor
some people told me to take out the spring of the waste gate and other said to keep everything connect but not past 3000-3200 rpm
any inputs on both of those options?

It would be good to take the spring out of the wastegate. This was your turbo won't spool and you obviously wont boost. If you are on stock injectors and ecu you should be fine, I still wouldn't drive it too hard on the way there. Goodluck

The two dyno tuners I know who've ran boosted cars at 0psi with and without the couplers in place have told me car makes more power with the couplers in place. Meaning even w/o hitting boost, you are changing the way the motor breathes. Just accellerate as slow as you can safely. Speed and RPM don't matter too much if you have the O2 sensor working and a stock map close enough to your motor. I'd suggest -5 Hg" at the most on your boost gauge.

I don't see why people freak out so much about driving with a turbo on their car untuned and trying to stay out of boost. In order for it to boost you have to open up the throttle enough to hit it. Just drive easy, pay attention to your boost gauge, and you should be fine.

exactly i try to tell my friends this...
i say run it with stock map, stock injectors and stock ecu, have all chargepipes hooked up and the wastegate like it should be
as long as you don't beat on it you will not build enough boost to worry about
do not remove the fire ring or wastegate spring as this will let exhaust gas out before the o2 sensor so the o2 sensor will not have a proper reading
do not leave chargepipes unplugged as you have a chance to overspin the turbo (no resistance)
i recommend this from fresh builds (.5 over) and stock 100k motors
YOU WILL NOT HURT THE MOTOR AS LONG AS YOU ARE SMART AND DON'T TRY TO GET INTO BOOST
