Default Downpipe to turbo connection, use copper spray or no?

It's a 5-bolt downpipe. Would using copper spray give a better seal and be less likely to have any leaks? or is it fine without it?

you really dont need anything as long as your flange is straight and not warped nd your turbo is clean it should have no issues sealing

I use a couple coats of coper spray on outlet flanges. Seems to help a bit. When I take them apart you don't see any black areas from soot like you might w/o the spray. Definitely not a necessity especially for new/flat parts.
