Default Does Vacuum tubing thickness matter?

I have some rubber vacuum tubing on my BOV right now (soft, I can squish it with my fingers). I'm getting that fluttering sound everytime I let off the gas (mabye compressor surge?). I'm trying to find out if the thickness of the vacuum line makes a difference. The vac line off the TB where my BOV is T-eed into it much thicker so i'm thinking of getting some of that if it will help.

Im not sure if the vacuum would be strong enough to crush the line or not. Its pretty cheap at Discount, you could always try something different.

I used to use thin rubber line, It like those clear line for fish tank and you can squeze it. After the car is hot, i get weird BOV sound like soemtime i hear it blow off 2 time. The problem was the line was suck in by the vaccuum. so you need a line that hard, and wont suck together...

good quality rubber vac hose is the way to go. Napa has good stuff that will definatly not crush even under 40+ in/hg vac. they have like 5 aizes by the foot.
I hate colored hose but I have seen one or two brands of silicon hose that might be good. Several of the cheapie hose brands do not impress me as far as wall stiffness.

I switched to a larger 6.3mm fuel line for my BOV vac line and it made no difference with the fluttering.

I did notice after more testign that I THINK the BOV is blowing off more often now (a good thing). I mean it blows off at less throttle than before.
