Default Does a SC61 take a long time to spool on a stock B16?

Its such a big turbo and wondering if my 1.6 could spool this.

It could, but it will take a while, I've heard 5500rpm's?

Right around there, the bad thing is that the B16 doesnt really have any TQ to move under 5k rpms, so you feel the lag even more.

mine reached full boost at 10 psi at around 5500 rpms. it wasnt all that bad actually.

I have an sc34, I get full boost (14 at 5600), but that was with a small boost leak.

Im curious about the sc61 also, I might switch to that over winter

no problem. my b16a in a del sol vtec has full boost of 11psi at 4700rpm

Just tuned a stock B16 w/ an SC61 and a JG Victor X, didn't see 8psi till over 6k!! Those Victor X's are top end crazy!

stock b16 block, neukins, 3in DP, no exhaust.



full boost, 9.5psi or .75bar as seen on hondata log by 5000 or so. tuned this one 2 weeks ago.
