Does JG do good engine work for turbo honda engines?

Does JG do good engine work for turbo honda engines?
Reason I ask is because I am planning on sending them both my block and head to do this winter to build up for my turbo.
I got quoted a price of $1260 for headwork including a Port N polish, new SS oversized 0.5mm intake and exhaust valves, upgraded springs(not dual) and titanium retainers- plus another $175 for port matching my intake manifold.
Plus they quoted me a price of $650 to resleeve, deck, bore and hone my block- then another $675 to balance and blueprint and reassemble the bottom with my JE 9:1 pistons and Eagle rods(micropolish the crank too). This price of assembly included the cost for new rod and main bearings, as well as the thrust washers.
For an additional $250 they will assemble the entire engine back together for me.
So final cost of work is $3010 plus freight.
But I don't know much about the quality of their work. Everyone here in that headwork post recommended Port Flow. I talked to Golden Eagle, and they wanted $950 to resleeve(Godzilla) and hone+bore my block for me.
JG didn't specify what type/brand springs, retainers and valves they use, but I know PortFlow uses ferrara valves(are these the best for turbo?) And is it better to have 1mm over on the exhaust side and only 0.5 mm on the intake side?
Just wondering so I can set this all up to be done- after spending so much on my car- I want only the best work done for the engine- I use my car as a daily driver and am planning to run about 20-25 psi daily, so the motor needs to be built and built WELL!
Any opinions, advice, etc on this would help me out greatly.

a guy in town has a JG built motor, that's with the fuel, turbo, and tuning. He made 536whp at a local dyno war. I guess it's alright, but from what I heard, he overpaid for that power, just a hearsay though

I know a guy with a fully built long block by jg, even has a jg turbo manifold. The motor isn't tuned yet so I cant say how much power it puts out. But the owner had jg build his motor TWICE. the first motor failed because of a seized bearing from the clearances being too tight from jg yet he still had to pay for the second motor build
well maybe some of you might like this, JG paints their blocks silver(bling bling look) and stamps jg all over the block
IMO, jg seems to price from their name rather than quality.

if you want the BEST for your engine, don't go with JG. and i don't know how you can drive your car daily at 20-25 psi without running on race gas all the time. and i would think you would spin your tires through every gear at such a large amount of boost.

When JG first opened their work was very superior to others. Now they do sloppy work because of the large volume of customers that they got over the years and needed to "rush" customer's orders. If you do a search I am sure you will find many honda peeps with bad experience with JG. As for 20-25 psi of boost daily driven, good luck. My friend can't even get a car with 10 psi to hook 1-3rd on the street. Get a reliable place like portflow to do your top end and get a local machine shop with good reputation to do the buttom end.

Go to Jeff@ImportBuilders, just tell him Andy@bodykitsnw sent you and tell them the honda-tech guys recommended him. He'll take care of you. As for the head, send it to Joe Alaniz and tell him I sent you. He did some awesome work on my b16 head for my 2.0 Turbo Motor. I saw gains all over the place. I have the graph before and after of the test results from the flow bench.

Only reason why it's good cause Edelbrock had something to do with it lol.
Seems like you really need to be someone to get something good from JG.

Everyone has their own opinion on this and some are because of what they heard and not what they see.
There are alot of great JG motor built for local people. IB is great too, Jeff does good stuff, been with them since the beginning.
But I think the "bad" stuff from JG are only a smal percentage of the good stuff they put out.
Imagine, they have been doing motors for years, some might not turn out too well. That would be great if an engine builder has 100% perfect motors but thats not reality. There are going to be lemons in the bunch.
just my 2cents..

I'm pretty sure Edelbrock partnered up with JG because JG had a big name with import people. Probably 90% of the kids driving imports never had (and still have not) heard of Edelbrock lol.
