Default Does cold weather cause creep?

Maybe I am just smoking crack, lol, but it seems when the weather drops below 40-35 degrees my boost starts to creep some at night time. During the day, when its warm it holds fine...

Tagging along, I'm experiencing the same phenomenon.

Cold weather = creep do to the air being more dense so there is more to compress

i actually turned my boost UP , thus, makes the WG have to expell less exhaust gas and can control the higher level more accurately.

I was thinking about this, but here's the problem. If you make more power you need more fuel thuis more air thus more exhaust....so I think you may be wrong about that haha. I know you will need more exhaust gas to create more boost, but I think once you reach full boost you'll have more exhaust gas to expell anyway.

To the OP: Cold winters seems to mess with the wastegate since temperatures vary the toughness of the WG spring. Either turn down the boost so the max boost creep is where you are tuned at, or just deal with it.

adse, sorry man... My car is tuned for higher levels, so i can turn it up if i please. I didnt pay 2,200 for an autronic to put to good use for nothing. And yes, my car does hold boost better at higher boost levels, so thanks again

it also depends on the boost controller you run. aka if you are running off the gate, it shouldn't matter, as pressure is pressure. if you are running a EBC, you may need to adjust the duty cycle if its hard coded, i know my AVCR adjusts automatically due to the fuzzy logic, but I believe with AEM/Autronic, etc you set a duty cycle, which may need to be adjusted.

Also for Manual boost controllers, you will have to adjust them, as the difference in the air mass, changes with temp.
