Do you agree that the SS weave inside flex pipes is the problem?

Default Do you agree that the SS weave inside flex pipes is the problem?

I seem to recall lots of people saying that certain flex pipes had cost them a LOT of horsepower at some point. From doing a little searching on here today, the inconclusive evidence indicates that the woven stainless steel mesh inside them is the problem, and that the kind with convolute (like a bellows) is fine, as is the "interlock" kind that is kind of like the inside of a can, or that cheapassed flex tubing you can get at the autoparts store for temporary exhaust repairs.

Does everyone agree on this, or do I not understand what I read today?

Thanks!

So you're saying that either type without the SS weave INSIDE the flex pipe is fine then, bellows style or interlock style?

Get the style that has the ribbed stainless inside. This will let the flew pipe last a lot longer

So bellows style or interlock style interior are both fine, just not the woven SS "mesh", right?
