Default do valve seals have a "break in" period?

my valve seals are leaking a little down the valve stems, leaving a very thin film of oil and a cloud of smoke out my tailpipe on startup and when i give gas after idling .

do they have a period for them to expand and contract or something, or did my machinist just do something wrong. the entire motor has 530 miles and it started smoking around 300 mmiles. compression is dead on btw

There is no break in ...alot of people dont understand that once you slide that viton seal over the keeper grooves thats it...99% of the time if you slide it back off it rips the seal.
