i have a crx witha 92-95 greddy kit on it and ever since i've put the kit on my motor i smell this funny smell almost like coolant but not quite....i don't know what it is....but my question is do turbos put off any kind of odor just from being used or should i try looking some more for a different problem?

Is the turbo kit new? Run it for a while and then see if it smells.

 

it's not brand new....i'd say about 6mos old i bought it from a friend around here.....um but i do have some mesh around the turbo right now...instead of the filter....i don't know if that might be part of the problem or not

 

funny you ask, im in the same exact position as you are. and for 2 weeks, i had a mesh around the turbo. i juz had a custom pipe and flange made for $25 at the local muffler shop. anyhow, i also get a weird smell, although i think it's not smelling as bad as before. check for exhaust leaks.
