not if your using your stock fuel pump...but i would recommend an aftermarket one...when i put my walbro 255lph in my fuel pressure went up from 42psi to 60psi...i have the b&m fuel pressure modifier so i turned it down all the way and it would only go down to 55psi and no lower b/c of that fuel pump...so i had to drill a pressure relief valve in the fpr to get it down further

you really dont need a FPR.....but It would not hurt to get one anyway. You say that you will be running 8psi but sooner or later you'll want to turn it up. So a good aftermarket FPR would be a good idea.

ive been debating whether the high pressure was worth it or not. i dunt want to change out my stock fpr either but other people think i should get the high pressure one too. even my tuner recommended i get high pressure.
::confused::

The stock fpr is good up to like 500whp, so I think that's fine for most of us lol.

I dont think you can put a hp figure on a regualtor.. If it can flow the amount of fuel out of it to keep the pressure then its good..
Guess im saying that the only thing that changes with more hp is the amount of fuel but under power your flowing less fuel through it since the injectors are using more..
So if your fpr can keep its intended pressure when flowing XXX amount of fuel at lower loads then your good..

Well the only reason I put a number on it was because BH mentioned stock fpr's are good for under 500whp. I assume that means he has tuned quite a few 300-500whp cars with stock fpr's on them and they work. So with properly sized injectors it looks like the stock fpr is fine for pretty much all of us.

exactly my point.

Here was last week's walbro argument session:

Conclude what you will from the argument, but what I know for sure is that you definitely don't need the HP for such an "HMT" setup.
