ring gap / blow bye
i just purchased a built motor with 7600 miles on it and the kid i bought it from who is pretty reputable told me that i might get some smoke due to the larger ring gap for boost does that sound normal or should i put in new rings? i will be running 15 psi on this block tuned. crower steel billet rods , je forged pistons 9:1 , balanced blueprinted

i agree and I've seen this happen...change them out save yourself some trouble before the motor is in the car and you rpissed becuase you have to pull it out

No it doesn't. Find out the gap he used and then determine if the gap seems right.
