Default Do I have a boost leak?

I'm running the greddy kit on my d16z6. I used to get to 8 lbs of boost fine but now no matter how high I turn my blitz boost controller I only get 5 psi max. and if I turn it off completely I only get like 1 or 2 psi. does this sound like a boost leak somewhere or is something else wrong?

Is it taking longer to reach full boost? does it seem to lag more?

manual boost controller?

how can you get less boost than stock?

must be a loose chage pipe clamp.

For the boost to drop like that, you need to have a HUGE boost leak. Not that it isn't possible, but you should be able to find it really easily.

Could also be a wastegate problem.

You guys really need to start building pressure testers.

I found the big leak. it was the coupling attached to the turbo it self it had a big tear in it like an inch long. After i fixed the big hole it drove fine again. 8 psi no problem. so i guess i'll just let it be.

after fixing the mega hole I got curious and built a pressure tester and i couldn't get the car to even come close to holding boost. I pumped my *** of and I could only get like 3 psi and then it would go right back down to 0 pretty quick. I think my really old *** bike pump sucks though. Because I went over all the couplings and I have zip ties or mini hose clamps on all my vaccum lines and i check my pcv and it was fine and at idle my vaccum is like 20-22. so i guess i'll just live with a leaky system as long as it gets to the boost I want.
