The Greddy IS a wideband! The NGK sensor is what makes it a wideband! It doesn't have the heater circuitry like Motec and Horiba but the sensor is a wideband sensor. It uses the same sensor as the tried and true Tomei AFR meter.

The Greddy is not a true test wideband. The sesnor might have the technology to do it but it actually no a true wideband that can actually go and test AF Ratios on the extremely rich or extremely lean side. ITs inbetween type of gauge. Its not the all inconcluisve like the motec plm but it does come fairly close. ITs great guage no doubt about that. compared to the others on the market.

same method,
just have to enter the points in the calibration section for the wideband meter.
easy as that!

So has anyone run this DIY Wideband yet and compared it to real wideband values? Or are most people still building it or waiting for it?

FWIW, I've got my sensor sitting right here. I've placed the order for the PCB & parts. I, too, received an email about them being pushed back a little. Then, however, I noticed they just recently charged my credit card. I hope that means they got the green light.

For more info on this unit, go here: http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/default.htm

This was a response to the original DIY-WB sensor controller found here: http://diy-efi.org/diy_efi/projects/diy_wb/
(hey, I like the new assembly guide, not to mention the fact that they've begun selling the PCB's again. oh well...)

Gents,

I am working on a DSP (digital signal processing) based wideband controller for the 5 wire NTK sensor. I would appreciate hearing from those who are building the australian or DIY wideband controller what the calibration resistor measured in ohms for the NTK sensors you bought (The resistor that is built into the sensor connector). I need to get a feel for the potential spread in sensor characteristics to tune the calibration algorithms.

Regards,
Moose

Got mine finished, calibrated and working!!
Will be wideband tuning my system this weekend and going to the dyno to see how I did in a few weeks!

I highly recommend this kit. Its cheap, a bit of a bitch to put together and you get very fast, courteous help from Peter.

Just received mine in the mail today and started assembly after dinner...took about 6hrs with my mediocre soldering skills. Everything seems to be functioning as intended, although some of the later tests were a little unclear (of course it could just be due to the lack of sleep). The instructions start out great but seem to fade after the first few steps. Here's a pic of the completed board:

Sorry for the dark pic but the batteries in the good camera are dead and I'm too tired to wait for them to charge. Tomorrow I'll work on the display unit...
