DIY wide band O2

Ok, I ordered the PCB, parts kit, and the display meter.
I think Crescent Kao built this kit too..
I hope it'll work with the wideband option in hondata.

Ok, I ordered the PCB, parts kit, and the display meter.

It's like $70 USD, and I was looking at it a couple weeks ago 
Don't have the $$ right now to get the sensor, but I'll have enough fun trying to assemble it with my sub-par electronics skills (or lack thereof).. since it's a DIY kit.

you will need very good electronics skills to construct the kit
It's NOT a kit for beginner hobbyists
Remember, the FMD is a DIY kit and very good electronics

geez i wonder if a one eyed shoe salesman could put this kit

Time to amass some electronics skills
how hard could it be to weld in those circuits, my
kit brother biult a mini cicruit for school(which he had to test),
so why the heck couldn't competent adult not be able to do it...?!?!?!

eheh Im in Australia... and was thinking of gettin the motec PLM... bc out here we sell them for 1200Aust which is like 600$us or so.
But even this DIY-WB seems cheep.. might have to invest in it...
dustin let us know how ya proejct goes... also i belive if you can install a hondata ya self.. you can easly make this DIY-WB .

sorry to jump off the subject about the wide band o2 sensor. Justin how do you like your thermal exhaust and do you have a 3" downpipe? how far are you from Pittsburgh,Pa just curious cause i would like to meet up with some people to check out there rides. hope to have my turbo charged si on the road in 2 months. After spending $12,000 on a built motor and rebuilt turbo it's that time to start enjoying my car once again.

hummm u gota let us know how ya went with it.. and also im guessing if its the same sensor as the motec plm it will plug stright uptp the hondata correct ???

um... the hondata doesn't actually READ the wideband O2 sensor, does it? I was under the impression hondata just SELLS the PLM as an accessory for tuning. I've been wrong before though.
Electronics skills? Hell, if you've chipped a PS2 you should be able to manage this, right?

Hondata can use a wideband O2 sensor and will show you how far you are over your target lambda in a run ... it also has an 'autotune' mode that changes fuel output according to lambda...

the hondata can log the wideband. you just connect the output of the wideband unit and run it into your signal input on your O2 sensor harness back to the ecu. you can program the hondalogger for various sensors. It comes preloaded with tables for the PLM motec. you can enter the table for the diy unit since you can dowload the graph from that site. DUDES, for the money, its worth it. I searched the diy board listserve and it seems like a great sensor/control unit. Obviously, I bought one.
