Default DIY MaxRev Piping - to Throttle Body?

I'm going to make the cuts for my MaxRev piping to the Intercooler today. I assume the first thing to do is install the Intercooler. But my big problem that I figured out today was getting the coupling for the 2.25" piping to the stock LS throttle body.

The outside diameter of the coupling is exactly the same as the outside diameter of the throttle body. I wanted to know how you guys with the 2.25" piping did this.

Plus any pointers before I start making the cuts would be appreciated.. Thanks.

Theres 2 ways to do this:

1st is to get a piece of 2.5" diameter silicone and a 2.25" dia. piece. This is how it works, you stick the 2.25" INSIDE the 2.5" make sure the 2.5" piece is LONGER than the 2.25". This creates a DIY reducer.

2nd is to buy a 2.5" - 2.25" reducer, these things can go for $35 so the 1st is the most economical.

pm me if you dont quite understand the 1st, It was what I did and work great.

So a 2.5" on top of my 2.25" ? Does Home Depot sell these? I checked my Local Hardware store and they only have 1.5", 1.75", 2", 3", and 4" couplings

home depot wont have these, you need a performance shop that has turbo items, you want silicone reinforced pieces.

Chris - My 2.5" fits nicely on the LS TB
