Default Divided Manifold vs Not Divided manifold

what are the pros and cons of using divided turbo manifolds and the pros and cons of using single plane manifolds?

i dont know much but i can try and help, the split manifolds try to make use of the cylinder firing sequence, properly designed should give the exhuast gases a "pulse" effect on the way to the turbo, i guess these pulses are far superior to a log stlye manifold where all the gasses gather into one...

so i guess the pros would be a much better manifold and design, and better throttle response, and quicker boost, being a piece of art, etc...

cons would be cost, and i doubt youll ever find one for a car with a/c or **** like that

THe divided manifold does do with exhasut pulses and firing order to help with spool up, but the funny thing is, Presicion said that the tang undivided will spool better tahn teh divided housing

in theory and on paper, the divided housing pulse converter seems like a good idea. but in real life, i doubt it makes a noticeable difference. if it did, then why arent the fast cars using them?

ya i was thinking the same thing ..but my manifold seems to do the job right...its a question i had to ask
the pulse manifold makes sense to me ..but since i have a Turbonetics race gate ..with a 9 lb spring ..and my waste gate dumps off only 2 cyls...should i get a heavier spring..to increase turbo response ..or just adjust my boost controller WG duty ??

just redirect your manifold...HOw I designed my manifold on paper waiting for moeny to get the actual metal , I'm dumping the WG from 2 areas of the collector. Similar to some of the bigger named racers out there

Using a single 4-1 merge collector will be more effective then a 4-2-1 design. it will make more power and spool faster.
