Displacement issue

Displacement issue
So I have a B16. I'm rebuilding this stupid block, but I want more displacement in order to have some better spool times, because 5 and 6 thousand RPM's before you hit the torque plateau really sucks. Yeah, I know..I should buy an LS block, and put my B16 head on it, call it a day. However, I have to get a new B16 head as well, since it's the culprit of all my problems anyways. (Ruined head) So I could buy an LS block, and a B16 head..and get some pistons and rods, THEN call it a day. Or...
you guys could tell me how to add some sizeable displacement to my current motor, which currently has the small 77mm crank..
Can I use an LS crank? GSR crank? Or even B17 crank? J/W. I need to know all my options and machine work required before I make a decision on what to do. If I was driving a 2200lb hatch I wouldn't worry about displacement, but I dont. I drive a 2000 Coupe, which is every bit of 2500lbs or even more, a little on the heavy side. Any tips or advice?

Re: Displacement issue (WickedHonda00)
I built a stroked B16 using an LS crank, B17 length rods, and custom pistons. Absolute waste of money if you don't have a block you need to keep. I had a pristine sleeved B16 block already which is why I did it. For your position I say buy an LS block and put pistons/rods in it. You can run a B17 crank with B17 rods and an off the shelf piston, but B17 rods/cranks are very hard to come buy, you can't get any budget priced aftermarket rods like Eagles. For the additional cost of sourcing a B17 crank, or the custom pistons required to put an LS crank into a B16 block you would be better off to just run an LS block.

You answered your question in the question. Plan and simple buy an LS block and throw some rods and pistons in it and use the B16 head. Simple and effective.
