Default Difference from vafc2 to hondata

Here's my dyno chart on 5.5 psi on vafc2

And here's my dyno chart I just got done today running on 7 psi. Only thing that change was vafc2 to hondata, replaced cat. with test pipe, and replaced 2.25 in comptech exhaust for 3 in. kteller exhaust.

Although the extra 2psi, removed cat, larger exhaust couldn't have hurt hehe.

The only problem is ----

With a hack you know you are not getting support. With Hondata you only get support if you own a K-series motor or are willing to fly the jackasses to your location.

Yes, I am a disgruntled Hondata user and sorry for the the rant

Aww that's pretty harsh. Hondata made useful updates to Rom Editor just 3 years ago..

The "hack" worked fine for me (safc).

I never dyno'd it - but I don't think it would have ran more than 1 or 2 tenths faster with Hondata.

The afc was installed following the instructions - and then wideband tuned.

12's first time @ the track with a turbo on 7-8 psi and 92 octane gas. (in an integra ls)

IMO - the "hack" is great if you don't have the $$$ to get a standalone. However when you start to take things to the next level, I will admit that more fine tuning than the hack allows will be necessary.

What motor was this on? Why is the torque so low? You think you'd be in the 200s with torque..hmmm
I have a gsr that used to run on the vafc2 and I was running 6psi with crushed bent 2.5inch exhaust and a test pipe and I was pushing 215hp and 185tq. Tuned at rs-motors

This was on a stock gsr motor and I don't know why the torque was so low either. I'm satisfy with the tune for now. It sure beats the 171 hp I had with the vafc2, plus I don't have to worry about the vafc pulling timing anymore.

Im pushing .5 more pounds than he had and have the same setup. Why is my torque 185 at the wheels and his was 141 at the wheels on the vafc2? I dont think i gained more than 40 ft pounds from the 2.5 crush bent piping. Doesn't seem normal to me. I had hondata on a 98 gsr with a t3/t4 (same as what i have now) tuned @ 295whp and 230wtq. That was with stock internals. I'm sorry, but that's low torque for a gsr.

Those numbers are pretty funny.

As one who was on the hack, and is now on an uberdata, I can vouch that it is not very effective engine management.

However, for what it was, it was awesome. Much better than an FMU, and even though my car bucked like crazy it was still pretty quick and fun to drive.
