Default difference between NGK ZFR6F-11 AND ZFR6J-11?

I went to the local parts store and they gave me some 1 step colder plugs for my SOHC y8 turbo app.

they gave me ZFR6F-11'S.

I have searched the forums and have seen people using the ZFR6J-11;s.

SO, I'm just wondering if there is any difference before I gap them and install them.

D-series vs B-series plugs. D16Z6 vs B18B1 one step colder, anyway.

I have four of each set sitting here, I'm drunk and bored, why don't I slip them out of the box, take some shitty phonecam pics, and try to guess what the difference is without consulting NGK.com?

BRB.

Hi, meet the plugs, meet the grandparents.

Shee-it, son, I am drunk. This is thre best pic I could get. I suck at life, and stuff.

Well, for all intents and purposes that pic will suffice. Yes! Believe it or not.

The ZFR6F-11 is on the left, and ZFR6J-11 is on the right. They have the same exact dimensiones except the ZFR6F-11 has more insulator ceramic with less exposed center elecrode. Looks to me a great way to reduce arcing over/misfiring and suchlike, with all else being equal. Squint real hard, you'll see what I mean. The white ceramic protrudes higher on the ZFR6F-11 on the left, with less exposed center electrode.

Forty-five seconds of searching on ngk.com would have told you as much.

I think I learned a bit more than that, because I can actually see the plugs, and all you guys get are my broke-dick phonecam pics.

But, thanks for the thanks

Thoughts on compression ratio differences between the two plugs?

Minimal?

Super minimal. 1/15th of a cc, to make a guess.

The plugs are *identical* in every dimension, except the ceramic comes up a little higher on the ZFR6F-11.
