Default Difference between NGK BCP7E-11 and NGK BKR7E

Did the search......info was very vague...

I need to know what type of plugs to run with my 1996 GSR with Greddy Kit,

I know one degree colder but what do I need to gap them at?

I do know after my search is to stay away from ZEX.

TIA

any recommendations on what plugs to use?

i'm assuming BKR7E-11 would be the cheapest route

You will find that some people are using bcp and some people are using bkr, however they're both colder plugs. Some people will swear by bkr and some will swear by bcp. And you should gap them both at 30-35, I gap mines at 30.

NGK BKR7E part #6097

Sometimes it's easier to find at some local stores, if you ask for them by part number. I've also heard of people selling them in motorcycle shops because the are a cycle plug or outboard motor plug, I forget which. Anyways, I know somebody at my local NAPA and they always stock em their too.

I personally use NGK BKR7EVX-11 Platinum -> part #4685. I prefer those because they last alot longer. I know from personal experience they have at least a life expectancy of a year or more. And for all other purposes they are the same. The main difference on the VX is you would run a wider gap at .41 (if I am remebering correctly) and they come pre-gapped to those specs.

VX (Longer life) = less time under my hood. Pre-gapped = even less time.

If you wanna stay with the NGK BKR7E, expect to change them every oil change or so.

i'm using bkr7e on my DC2 turbo gsr and i'm also using bkr7e on my bro's EK zex 75 shot gsr both gapped at .31 . They both run very good on our motors with our setup...i also had the bcpr7es-11 on my turbo gsr when i first put on the kit and it ran good, but for some reason i like the bkr7e much better.... My brothers car ran 165 at the wheels on the bkr7e plugs on his stock b18c1 with just basic bolt ons....i wanted to get it tuned for 75 shot, but was unsuccessful because my dumbass tightend the line to tight and stripped the thread off the bottle...
