Default Difference between electric and mechanical gauges?

I am about to order a few gauges; boost, air/fuel, and oil pressure. What is the difference between electric and mechanical?

Mechanical is more precsise. You have an actuall tube going from whatever (boost, oil) to the guage. Elecrtic relies on a sensor.

with an electrical gauge there is a sensor that is included that can be mounted anywhere in the engine bay and from there you run the supplied wire harness back to the gauge.

electrical is safer imo when using it for fuel pressure or oil pressure since you dont have to run the lines directly into the cabin compartment making it safer.
