Did you guys have to get your ecu socketed??
i have a 94 gsr and hondata 2b
i emailed hondata and this is what they said.
If you are using a stock p72 ECU, it will need to be socketed to work with
the Hondata system...this can be done by most of our dealers, or you can
send the ECU to us and for $65 we will ship socket it and send it standard
shipping back to you, or $75 for overnight shipping. The socketing
instructions are available on our website in the installation guide in the
downloads section.
did yall have to go thru this too? from what i was told hondata was plug and play.

yes, you have to have your ecu socketed. the process involves desoldering the stock eprom and replacing it with a socket so that you can remove chips easily. with patience you can do it yourself with a desoldering iron from radioshack.
