Default Did anyone every blow out intake manifold gasket..?????

I've been running 8psi on my zc/t25 setup for alittle over a week and today the intake manifold gasket for the # 3 runner blew out, and i was wondering if anyone ever had that happen before and what the solution was.... And as far as i know both the intake and head surfaces are flat.. i'll double check tomorrow.....

Was it torqued down properly? Seems like a good time to upgrade to a Hondata gasket.

you didnt over tighten it?? that would cause adverse stress on it and maybe blow, on the other hand maybe you didnt tighten the bolt there very well and it blew. also yes hondata makes intake manifold gaskets that significantly lower the temp. of the air flowing into the head. check their website

Well sell the Hondata gaskets ...but... We have found that the D-series gasket seems to be to narrow around the ports when you boost high levels. We have blown out two of them at 25 + psi . If your not going that high then the work great. We havent encountered this problem with any other series engine though.

Did anyone ever hear of or see dead copper intake gaskets, like what v8's use for headder gaskets. They would probally work pretty good..
