Deltagate Wastegates, do they really suck?
Well ive seen some posts in the past where some people say that the delta gate wastegates suck, but ive also seen that its also where its positioned that can make it suck. Well i might switch over from internal to external wastegate but im pretty broke as it is and can pick up a deltagate for half the price of a tial etc. Anyway, id liek to get some feedback whether good or bad about the deltagate WG from people who have actually owned one, thanks.
Most of the people that say they suck heard it from someone else. I never had any problems with mine but I was only running 10psi. If your running lower boost you shouldnt have a problem. There is guys making 500hp with deltagates.
I plan on running 14-15 psi, i figure it would probably hold up better then an internal either way.i just dont want any boost spikes/creep.

That made me think of something....I believe the deltagate is rated for 400 crank hp

I did have some creep problems recently on the deltagate and was told to switch to tial which i did and it still creeps, so in thta case its not the WG

hell no

the design of the manifold may have contributed to the boost creep.. [hint]drag manifolds[/hint]
Not at low psi, and if it was the manifold, replacing the wastegate wouldn't have helped any. It holds rock solid with the Tial
