Default Dead Oil Pump?

I was at the track the other night and while I was about to pull up to the waiting line my car shut off. I noticed NO oil pressure on my gauge. I tried to recrank it but it shut off again. There was no oil visible in the nylon line. Advised from my buddy, he recommended a VTEC oil pump (B16, B18c or Type R). Should I get an OEM oil pump or go ahead and opt for an aftermarket such as ProDrive? Any suggestions/advice(s) would be appreciated.

stock oil pumps work great as long as they are installed correctly and you are using a stock or good aftermarket crank pulley like a fluidamper or ati.

I just bought a brand new OEM Integra Type R unit via eBay. I just hope that it will hold up. I am using a single OEM Civic Type R racing crank pulley. I guess I just have to take care of all my "weak links" in my setup...one day at a time. As for now, the ProDrive unit is a lil bit more than I can spend. Maybe (hopefully not), I will get a ProDrive down the line.
