Well lucky for you there really is no choice.The MID sleeve is their performance sleeve and I guess you would consider it a wet sleeve as it is exposed to the coolant.Their stock repair sleeve is not really a performance product.

Doesn't Darton make a dry sleeve made out of ductile iron? I know they are available for blocks like the h22a1 that was built with a closed deck.

Basically a wet sleeve has coolant circulating around it and a dry sleeve is installed with the oem aluminum still around it. The latter cools by heat transfer from the sleeve to the aluminum and then to the coolant. Both methods can be strong and work great.
