damn, not again!@!
What is it with D16 trannies?!?!?! I just blew another tranny friday night! I just found out today, puttig new axles in, the drivers side wouldn't go in, so I stuck my finger in the tranny and felt the gear loose in the tranny! I have 21K miles on my DX and it's the third tranny down the drain. My stock one blew diff, another lost about every syncro, and now this BS. This time it broke off the line on 24.5X7.5@13 m/t slicks, some big *****, I only got one pass out of them bogged launching too low and hit 14.006@99, when I bog on my other slicks I usually don't hit more than 95MPH, so I know the bigger slicks will do me better with a harder, non breaking launch. Which tranny of the D-series madness is the strongest? I have 95 Si/EX tranny now. Thanks

the d16y8 is the strongest tranny... i blew mine 3 weeks ago at the track... too much wheel hop.. opened up the tranny and all the teeths on the differectials and shaft were broken. now im runnign a 94 si tranny. so far so good..

I'm pretty sure that the 94 si tranny is from a d-series motor.

94 si HB sohc.... the reason y the d16y8 tranny are better then the d16z6 is because the d16y8 *newer model* come with a double bearing and the d16z6 come with one.
