Default Damaged Piston Skirt!!

I recently pulled my eagle/wiseco setup out of my b16 block, the rings were shot and I was gonna just re-ring it. but upon further inspection the friction coating that comes on the pistons when you buy them brand new is pretty much gone on every piston, and all the pistons have scratches on the skirt, should I not re-use the pistons if the skirt is scratched up? the ringlands are in good condition, and the guy at the machine shop told me it should be fine to re-install the pistons. I will post pics later today. I just want to get a answer from a wiseco rep. or someone who knows a bit more, rather than taking a 50/50 shot at this.

Contact Wiseco. What could have caused the scratching on the skirts (P-T-W) and how many miles are on the car?

Do you have pictures of these pistons? I'm very interested to see them.

the coating wears off normally........nothing you can do about that unless you want to spend the money to have the coated again only to have them wear off again after a few thousand miles.

the scuffing of the skirts can be caused by many things but mainly heat/expansion.
