D16Z6 swap Need help!
I have a 1998 Honda Civic Dx (D16Y7) and just got a d16z6 complete with everything but the ECU. Im getting the ECU for it and the skunk2 OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness. The only problem im having is the wiring harness on that engine wont plug into the plug by the fender wall going to the ECU. There is only one plug on the stock wiring but my enigine harness on the D16Z6 has 2 on each side. If there is a conversion available for this or if anyone could let me no how to accomplish this i would really appreciate it.

rule of swap
always use the harness off the stock car to run the engine
just use the harness off the engine u bought to obtain any xtra plugs u might need

does ohio have the same rules as cali for the engine swap / obd rule? just wondering because if that would never pass smog requirements since your going from obd2 > obd1...but if it's a race car who cares

use your wireharness and do alot of research on here...

just wire the vtec stuff up yourself

well yes and no
supposely u need to have an engine that is same year or newer than ur car
but here on ohio , on inspections and e checks they dont check that ****
all they do is pull the car on rollers, check the vin number...... and pay ur $19
they dont check the emision hardware and or check all the codes and crrap... to many people 96+ run OBD1
as far as the harness question... u take the VTEC plugs off the vtec harness and add it to ur exhisting harness
