Can you convert to obd1 and run a socketed p28 and run crome/uberdata?

That is your best option. I can help you out with supplying the ecu if you are interested.

see iw as plannin on runnin the 450s and a street tuning... But since the y5 head is all wack with roller rockers or whatever i didnt know if it would work like "normal".

Or do you have to swap the head out for y8 ..

thats basically the question

I'm running a y5 with 450's and a chipped p28 right now (tuned with uberdata). The only issue you'll run into is passing emissions, but it may not be a problem in your area. The only problem with the y5 is camshaft availability. I don't believe other D-series cams will work, but I haven't tried it. I think the y5 head is probably the most underrated head honda makes.. but I'm biased

so you had no problem running uberdata? did you have to modify the 5 wire?

Can you explain your setup better to me?

no problems running uberdata. You have to either convert 5-wire to 4-wire narrowband or just run open loop and disconnect the o2.

I did a write up on converting the Y5 to 4wire. I think the P28 really livens up the Y5. I am going to set my vtec xover to 2000 or so like stock and see what happens. My car feels "laggy" before vtec now.

I have ran uberdata and the afc hack on ym Y5 with 450's and it works great. With the hack, I had to adjust the timing by the dizzy but I think all afc hack people need to do that. The Y5 is just not as known nor does it have the vast aftermarket of the other popular D series swaps but other than that it works on teh same principles as far as turboing it goes

I looked into but someone on here who chips ECU's said it isnt possible for some reason. Besides, the OBD1 VX ECU cant be chipped because I thoguth of running the oBD1 VX with an uberdata chip but the same guy said it wasnt possible. My car runs great on a P28 basemap
