Default D16a6 build questions

im new to the D series world. i know B series stuff . but just getting into the D series

im looking at building a cheap fun EG6 for my DD shooting for 180-200whp.

the set up im looking at right now will be

BISIMOTO LEVEL 1.2 TURBO cam ( and gear )
vitara 75mm pistons
FJ-R spec H-beam rods.
and a JRSC running 8psi

i just wanna know if you guys think this is a good looking setup or if you think i should be using other brands or parts. i wanna leave the valve train stock dont plan of revving over stock redline.

for just my DD and not any real track use would it be worth the money for me to get a mild port and polish on the head of just leave it as is.

the engine was supercharged before when it was 100% stock and put down 143whp

gl on the build. I would rather throw a greddy kit on it.

Pistons and rods may be overkill for a small build like this but in the long run would be better off. Less to worry about with a fresh engine.

cam and head work would help you reach your goal a little better. smaller pulley for a little more pressure on the s/c would be needed.

200 will be sort of tricky to hit with the s/c on a single cam.

You won't hit those numbers with a S/C on 8psi.

Got any info on the cam and gear your looking at?

ill be happy with whatever numbers i end up with.
im just mainly asking if you think that would be a good setup. or would you guys use other parts.

i like over kill. might not be happy with what i end up with and might wanna put some more boost to it . time will tell.

The M45 the d16 JRSC comes with is just too small. It doesn't have a case maximizing efficiency (flow), and the rollers just can't move enough air. The only way you'd get that far is by adding much more boost and adding an aftercooler - or modding it for a M62. Both will cost about the same, the latter being more effective. Cams won't do much if the extra air they let in is hotter than Jessica Alba in her birthday suit.
