D series build up help!!!
Hey guys!!
so yea my stock z6 blew ring lands are toast. needing some advise on how to go on this re build. I dont wanna do anything to crazy . like 220whp etc daily driver an be durable.
i understand, need pistons & rods.. I dont plan on running it past redline , so that being i do not need valve train?
some help from the ever so great HT experts for FI
thanks, any advise on specific brands of parts etc i should go with id like that thanks

Really depends on your budget, what do you have to spend.
Budget- SRP's with eagles
Baller-sleeved, CP's(does manley make d-series rods) if so manley.
And believe me 220whp gets old real real fast.

Budget = Vitara and Tuner Toys, lol.
Common = Wiseco/CP/Endyn/SRP and Eagles
Baller = Sleeved, CP, and Pauter
I'd get some CP/Wiseco's in there along with Eagle rods personally, that way when you get bored of 220, you can push it a bit further.

I say go with vitaras, shotpeened LS rods and ARP bolts, much cheaper than aftermarket combos and just as reliable...with the lower CR you can even boost a little bit more just as safely as stock. If you haven't done so already I'd also check into upgrading the cam since I'm assuming the motor is already out.
