d15b turbo time >:D
hey guys, im going to be boosting my d15b pretty soon. my goals are a MASSIVE 170-200 whp. i know huge goals right! my buddy said that my engine should handle that no problem stock with a decent tune (xenocron tuners is 15 min away). would it be a bad idea to get 255 fuel pump and ARP head studs? i am NOT going to be boosting more then 200 so i dont need to build anything.

Yeah sounds like reachable easy. Just do/check:
1. Compression Test
2. Leak down test
3. Clutch
4. Maybe upgrade to 450cc
5. 255 lph walbro
6. ARP HS
7. Good tune coz god knows when **** goes down on those ringlands or rods

Re: d15b turbo time >:D
ARP's and new OEM HG would help a lot, since headlift is the #1 concern after ringlands and rods for d-series. For 200hp, a 60trim T3 would be the biggest I'd suggest. If it's "temporary", just get a used 14b. 1.5 SOHC's don't spool all that well, ask me how I know...
You could get away with 200whp on the stock pump, however a 190lph will keep you safe for all your future sohc goals. 255 is overkill for almost everyone. It can do 400hp vs the 255's 550hp, but with a FRACTION of the noise. You also don't have starvation issues/noise below a 1/4 tank. You could do anything as low as 310cc's, but ideally you'd get 450cc's on a budget or 650cc+ for the future.
