Default D15b ninjas!!!

there is hope for us!!!

http://www.d-series.org/forums...20921

"After some research and some contacts as well as Makku's research the D15B shares the same exact rod as a Z6. The difference lies on the cranks main bearings (USDM D15B7 journal size). Eagle rods meant for a Z6 WILL infact work in a D15B. The pistons however will not. Now, with a Vitara piston they do work. There are 3 people that I know of using Eagle (Z6) rods along with the Wiesco GX (forged vitara equivilent) in their D15B's. A Vitara piston is dished and due to the pin placement it gives a Z6 a rather low compression ratio. In a D15B they will be about perfect at around 9.0:1 with a thicker .043 headgasket. I do have one concern and that is the actual Vitara piston diameter. All Data states it as 74.98mm not a true 75mm. If you need to do an aggresive hone they will not work because of clearences from the piston to cylinder wall. If the block is in good shape they should work fine as many people have found. We will see."

If the cranks main bearing sizes are different, then how would they be able to use eagle rods? Would you have to use a d16 crank? still confused over this...
