Default D series turbo help needed.

This is for a friend of mine
Current situation, he has the cash and is looking to put a setup on his stock internaled 2000 ex coupe with a d16y8. Main thing here is that he needs to pass emisisons, considereing its obdII and all, its a straight plug test here in illinois, any check lights or antyhing of that sorts and its automatic failure. Now ive read the greddy kit is carb legal, but if we instead used a manifold with a garret t3/t4 most lilkley from (cheapturbo.com) internaly gated, is there any kind of management he can run that would still keep this thing carb legal? We were considering the greddy e-manage since thats what the new greddy kits come with.

why do you need a t3/t4? check out http://www.d16turbo.com the greddy kit will not propel you guys into the tens but it can work for you if used and tuned correctly

No one said we were lookin for 10's man, just trying to get suggestions on his setup.

I think i miswrote what i said when i was asking the question originally, as i rethough it, i am looking for a legal setup, but more along the lines of no cel lights or antyhing of that sort that would fail and OBDII car during emissions check.

Smog sucks.

Thank God they don't do it in Florida. I would check into the Edelbrock kit. It's by far the most complete D Series kit. http://www.coximport.com/edelbrock/turbo.html
