Re: 20G turbo-t3/t4 (redteg1)
I think I remember seeing somewheere that the 20G turbo's are good for up to 450 HP.
RedTeg you post gave me an idea, If the Greddy kit for the Lude comes out with a 18G series turbo, I might also buy a 20G series turbo. I think that I would stick the 18G with the CARB E.O number on the car for smog check and the rest of the time I could run a 20G turbo in my car.

Not really, it would still remain the same size on the housing simply changing the compressor wheel and a little port job at most on the same turbo. Correct me if I'm wrong please?

a TD05-18G and TD05-20G have the same exhaust (TD05) but different compressor fan sizes (18,20) but the same compressor housing size (G)

Re: 20G turbo-t3/t4 (redteg1)
their manufacturer ratings are low but I know for a fact that 20G at about 30 pounds will lay down at least 480HP. They are capable of spinning to 35psi. The T3/T4 make a few ponies more but spool faster. Also the Garret/Turbonetics are readily available in ball bearing (BB) setup whereas I think there is only one company the makes Mitsubishi Heavy Industry ball bearing turbos, the shafts on the Mitsu turbos also aren't as reliable at the limit as their counterparts. I use a BB T4 and max spool is at 2900 rpms. I have no problem burning out 3rd gear at 18 pounds of boost.
