Default D series catch can install.

I made my own oil catch can today and took a couple of pics of the install. I made it from a 3" breather filter and a can which I got from a local auto parts store and a couple of barbed fittings. Simple, effective, and ALLOT cheaper than the brand names but does the exact same thing, vents the crankcase.

First I went from the black box on the back of the block to catch can and the valve cover breather to the catch can. Simple and effective. The can I'm using vents to atmosphere.
First find a mounting spot for the tank. I strapped it to the black tank on the firewall.(evap canistor). I found it easier to mount without the charge pipe attached.

Thats pretty much it. I chose to cap off my PCV valve with a screw, some people use the vacume source for their wastegate. Its up to the you on what you want to use it for. Bolt the charge pipe back up and your good to go.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Where did you get that canister? Maybe my local autoparts stores suck, but they don't have a generic evap canister.

No part number, threw away the package. It was a clearance bin deal. I believe its a storage jar thingy. Not sure but it works well as a catch tank when modified.
