Cylinder Support System for my poor mans type r
ok ladies and gents heres my build:
b18c1 block with css installed
b16a head(building)
eagle rods
10:1 comp pistons(searching)
boosted--i say it like this because as much as i love turbo i also like the idea of a supercharger and i dont believe anyone has ran a css block with one yet still debating pros and cons on what im going to do
head with be port and polished (intake or sc will be port matched)
all new ss valves, springs and retainers
cams are currently undeciced as i want something that complaments the rest of the build
and before anyone says it YES i know that 10:1 is high considering the motor will be boosted HOWEVER i plan to run a lower amount of boost and if i do go with a supercharger the lower boost(8-10lbs) will go well with the slightly higher compression as a posed to if i ran 8.5:1 and 25lbs turboed
well here are some pictures including the css installed in my b18c1 block thanks to Jeff at CNC WERX
let me know what you all think thanks

10:1 isnt high compression for boost. you can go up to 11:1 on pump gas with boost. Plenty of higher compression cars on boost. lower compression just gives you more leg room for detonation with pump gas. you just need a good tuner when higher compression ratio is involved on pump gas
