Default PLS NEED EXPERT+EXPERIENCED OPINION B18C3 SPOON TYPE R BLOCK DARTON SLEEVES,82MM BORE,ARIAS 10.4:1 P

ORIGINALLY WAS GONNA RUN AN LS BOTTOM END WITH JE 8.9:1 PISTON W/EAGLE H RODS AND AN SIR HEAD....

PLANNING ON RUNNING 15 PSI BOOST

A GOOD DEAL CAME UP FOR A B18C3 SPOON TYPE R BLOCK,W DARTON SLEEVES, 82 MM BORE,CROWER RODS, AND ARIAS 10.4:1 PISTONS.. AND WILL SLAP ON MY EXISTING SIR HEAD...

SOME PPL SAY THAT THE B18C3 BLOCK SLEEVED WITH 10.4:1 IS HIGH COMPRESSION SO WHICH HEAD GASKET WOULD I NEED OR WHAT SHOULD I DO SO THAT I COULD LOWER COMPRESSION AND RUN +20 PSI BOOST ON THIS BLOCK?

WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS GO WITH?

B18 LS BLOCK OR THE B18C3 BLOCK SLEEVED WITH HIGHER COMP. AND THEN HOW TO LOWER COMP. ON B18C3 BLOCK??

I REALLY WANNA GO WITH THE SLEEVED BLOCK BUT I WANNA HERE SOME OPINIONS FROM PPL WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE ..

ALSO ITS GONNA BE A T3/T4 57 TRIM TURBO ... WITH OTHER BOLT ONS...

THANKS ALOT.. GREATLY APPRECIATED///

??? was told its a b18c3 ?? i know it is a real spoon type r block... sleeved and so on./..

Can somebody with experience pls tell me what is a better way to go...

Was told that i can run a thicker head gasket to go from 10.4:1 comp down to 9.4:1 comp.. Can i at 9.4:1 comp run 20 ish pounds boost ????

What it comes down to is will i make so much more power going with the sleeved spoon block ... or should i just keep the ls block w/rods nad pistons w/8.9:1 compression??

pls advise guys...

thanks

it might have been a spoon motor but once the owner swapped out the sleeves and internals it's just a regular built motor like everyone else has. but to anser your questions, yes you can run a thicker head gasket to lower compression. the mount of boost you run depends on the type of gas used and the tuning.
