Default Cutting a hole through my frame

Should I be concerned if I drill a 2 1/2 hole on the driver's side frame to route my 2 1/4 intercooler pipe? Would it effect anything ? There is no other way I can route it except to go all around the passanger side even then there is no room to route the pipe because of the bumper support .... Any thoughts ? I have a 91 LS

I have a 91 integra also I just finished re-doing my piping. I drilled a 2.5" hole in the driver side wall. Then applied touch-up paint on the edges and put wire loom around it looks clean. I can take some pics if you want to see, it works fine and is alot shorter than the drag piping. I dunno how rev-hard runs their piping.
