Default Custom Turbo Q's (DSM parts related)

O.K. hope fully in the near future I will being mocking up a custom turbo kit for my vehicle. Right now, I am in the process of slowly gathering the parts. As I started my searching I have come across some issues. First, if I were to use a 1st gen DSM BOV, would I be able to get a flange for said item? I will be getting the 450cc injectors, would I want the black or blue tops? does it matter ? (BTW, my car is ODB-0) Also, I will be using an HKS manifold and a Garrett T-28 turbo. My brother has a Greddy kit, and will be upgrading his O2 housing an downpipe, making them available to me, would they fit? I realize the greddy kits use mitsu turbos, but they have standard Garrett T-25 flange... Would a mitsu 02 housing work on a Garrett T-25/28? Thank you for any help you can provide me with.

as far as the O2 housing goes, can't tell ya. You can get bov flanges from good DSM stores on line. The blue ones will work (450 I think), can't remember the specs on the black injectors.

If I am thinking of the right turbo (which I think i am) as long as you get a 2g (95-99) o2 housing it should bolt right up to the turbo. Garrett turbos is what mitsubishi/talon/and plymouth uses. And a T25 is a stock turbo off of a 2g eclipse....... so you should have no problems bolting it up.

Actually, they are different turbos. While still Garrett, Mitsu uses a different exhaust housing with a 90o rotated flange and a better looking discharge area, I was just wondering if the bolt patterns were the same, but from what I am hearing, they aren't...

The Greddy kits use the original style Garret T25's. The 2g should have the same pattern, even though they are a little different.

Grab a 1g DSM BOV w/ flange for like $50 off dsmtrader.com. I got mine off there, and it's awesome @8psi daily. I'm running the blue top 450cc injectors, off the 1g DSM turbo 5spd's. The black tops are 290 I believe, or 310 (Can't remember which one, they should be either for the 1g N/T or the 1g Turbo Auto...)

Ahh, thank you... I will be getting the blue tops then, and a BOV. So you think a Greddy 02 housing will fit on a T28?
