Default Custom Turbo Manifold

I'm new to FI, and I was thinking about using CAD or Softworks to design my own turbo manifold. I was just wondering what aspects should I keep in mind while hopefully designing this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

Use 1.5 inch piping for the runners (My friend used SS piping with mild steel flanges on my custom manifold). It would probably be easier to just buy the header flange, turbo flange, and collector, then design the runners and how you want it to look, then just weld it all up. Also make sure the manifold doesn't sit the turbo too low, my custom manifold sits my turbo too low and my oil return sucks ***.

thats not a bad idea, would make my job a shitload easier since im still a n00b at CAD, where could i get the parts like the flanges and all that? I'd like something similar to a Lovefab SST, without the pricetag and what would be an appropriate level to mount the turbo at?

You should be able to get the flanges and collector form here... http://www.homemadeturbo.com/f...25780

http://www.mcmaster.com has pretty good prices on piping.
