Custom kit....Around a T25....need help...
I have a 99 civic SI, b16a. I am thinking of building a custom kit. Heres some questions:
1) Is the T25 a good entry level turbo for me? I dont plan to boost high or make any more than 200 or so whp. What kind of performance, in terms of spool, and pull to redline etc will I get at say 8-9 psi.
2) I know I would need the HKS manifold for this turbo. Where can I get it?
3) importparts.com has a convenient custom kit builder. If I was to order some parts from them, say downpipe, ic pipes, nuts/bolts/connectors, would it work with a T25? Basically I need to fill in the rest around the turbo. How would you go about doing it?
4) I plan to run either a hondata on a P28 or uberdata. leaning toward hondata as I DONT even come close to understanding uberdata. Although, my technically inclined/mechanically inclined friend does. However he has no experience tuning it

What T25 are you planning to use?
Some T25s like off a DSM would not bolt to an HKS manifold.

try a T3 from a volvo or someshort because a T25 is just plain small -- even on sohc 1.6 they run out of air. Or you can get expensive with the HKS manifold if you get a silvia or S13 blah blah (TURBO 240SX) turbos -- their like T28s? and HKS have alot of stock setup for them.
i say T3 -- go big or go home.

I have to look into the specifics on the turbo, however it isnt off of a DSM, its a T25 though so I think it works with the HKS manifold, I will check.
I know this is going to fall off up top, I dont expect it to pull 8psi all the way up. However I will be going with a custom 3" DP to a high flow cat to a 3" exhaust. This should help the turbo up top with breathing no?
