Re: custom turbo setup? (dc2_and_ef)
Just finished a custom turbo on our project Integra. So much little stuff that you never think about. Make sure your turbo/downpipe, and all flanges work together. The downpipe we had was incompatible w/ our turbo so we had to get a custom one made along w/ custom flanges. Also, remember to get all the miscellaneous fittings-oil return, coolant stuff, and so on. When we started the project, I had all the stuff I thought we needed, turbo, manifold, downpipe, wg, bov, fuel pump, fmu... but it's the little things that will get you. Then sometimes things don't fit like they're supposed to since you're piecing together stuff that may not have been designed to work together.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: custom turbo setup? (AP-Signworks1)
i just finished my custom turbo. would've only taken like 3 or 4 days but because of little stupid stuff it took over a week.
turbo (including exhaust flange and oil return flange, may want an oil feed flange since the turbo i got from cheapturbo.com had a stupid setup so we just made a flange)
manifold (once you get it make sure the wastegate flange is in the right place, bad experience with my SFP, the flange would've had the wastegate in the fan)
wastegate (plus flange to make a dump tube )
air filter
tubing and silicone hose
oil lines and fittings
intercooler
know someone who can weld (for piping and intercooler)
bov
miscellaneous nuts and bolts for turbo and anything else
its probably not going to all go perfect at first but just be a little patient and it feels a lot better knowing you did it on your own
