Custom or Kit??
Well guys, I have been searching through the archives for weeks now as well a PMing various members (thanks for the help again). I still cant decide whether to buy a kit or go custom. Situation: Never installed a turbo before and a little nervous about pieceing it together. Not so much the turbo, manifold, etc but all the lines and wiring involved. I want low 13s/ high 12s from it. It will be my daily driver so probably something with two boost settings. Would like the quickest spoolup possible and still have the power to run times mentioned above.
Fuel management will definately be Hondata either way. If I go custom:
Garrett Turbo T3/T4
InlinePro manifold
Not sure on DP or size
PWR intercooler
Tial Wastegate (Trim for this kind of Power? Hood clearance?)
Blow Off valve (Not sure which one)
I am not sure about the hardware.
OR
Greddy Kit/ Hondata/ PWR intercooler:
Could this get me into the low 13s/ high 12s?
If you have any input, let me know. Chris.

Re: Custom or Kit?? (b00stn)
kits either give you parts you won't use (ex:fmu) or don't include parts you need (ex:IC) and to pay 2K+ and get parts you won't use (but you paid for) or have to still buy parts, doesn't seem right to me. If you build a kit and are worried about coming up short parts, check the directions that come with kits, there on most manufactures web sites.

Re: Custom or Kit?? (G2turbo_terror)
im piecing together a turbo kit for myself. im over the 3k price of a drag3 kit.
but i also bought a hondata s200 (3b equivalent) walbro, fuel lines, rail, fpr, injectors, equal length, a precision turbo, pwr intercooler radiator and clutchmasters stage 4.
but im glad i went custom, if i bought a drag kit, i'd throw away the manifold and fuel setup. and probably keep the turbo and bling bling piping.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a DP for my setup? (InlinePro Manifold, Retaining AC) 2.5? 3 inch? I willl be running a 3 inch exhaust and high flow cat.
Blowoff Valves? I think I remember seeng that the Greddy Type S blowoff valve is one of the best. Any opinions?
What size wastegate should I run to ensure hood clearance?
