Default ct26 turbo on t3/t4 manifold

ok...i just got a ct26 turbo from a buddy of mine for practically free. i wanna put it on my car and i already have a t3/t4 manifold. i was looking for an adapter but all i've seen are these. [IMGhttp://trendgears.com/ebay/MiragePower/TurboAccesssories/Mr2Adaptor.jpg][/IMG]
does anyone know if they make something like that without the wastegate flange on it tho? my manifold already has a waste gate flange on it. also... since it's internally waste gated...what do i have to do disable that? thx in advance!

If it is a CT26 from the 7M-GTE supra, then you must weld the wastegate flapper shut, and find an adapter that goes from the exhaust manifold to the t3 turbine inlet. That is the only way it will work. Sometimes you have to "work", even when something is "free".

well i did find an adapter...and i thought i posted the pic in the thread but the link didn't work. anyhow, check out this link. http://trendgears.com/ebay/Mir...r.jpg
the only thing i don't like is that it also has a wastegate flange on it because it was designed to use a t3/t4 on the mr2 or supra manifold i believe. check it out and lemme kno what ya think.

I think that you only have the option of either using a different manifold and seal the wastegate on your manifold to use this adapter, or honestly, get another turbo. As I said you'll have to "work" even when something is free.

I think that its not a good idea to use this.

yea, i see where you're coming from. i'll probably just get the adapter and seal off the waste gate flange on the adapter. it's just something i'll use for a lil while till my next motor is done. it's just hard being in school, and especially with my 8:1 compression ls/v...it's super dang slow compared to my last setup. lol. thanks for the advice. i wanna see if i can just find another flange, but if not i'll just weld this one ****. thx again

That's because your static compression is much too low, so that even though ultimate hp, your acceleration rate suffers greatly.. The reason why lower compression setups are used in OEM applications is because of llower the chance for detonation of the engine, and the smaller turbos used.

well when it's all said and done....it'll be like a 60-1 turbo and some spray to get me thru the accelerating.
