Cryongenic kit for Turbo cars?????
Has anyone seen this new kit? It is supposed to freeze the air on a turbo car. Supposedly drops the temps down to like -50 to -100 degrees.

Yep!!! HAHA. No really it is made by Design Engineering Inc. It uses Cryogenic technology to freeze the air going into an engine. The air freezes when it passes over a Co2 charged, aerodynamic bulb located in the air intake system. I just saw it in the newest SEMA news magazine.

" The CryO²™ Intercooler Sprayer mounts directly to the front of the intercooler or aftercooler and vents the liquid Co² directly onto the cooling fins thus enhancing the performance of the intercooler by more than 50%. This component must always be the last in the CryO²™ system as it vents the liquid Co² charge.

I thought of something like that a few years ago while talking to a friend that owned a Ford Lighting. He was looking for a way to get cooler intake temps and a way to keep his water resivour cooler. He owned a few quiznos and I told him the CO2 would work, just make a small heatexchanger run the water from the resiviour through it and use the CO2 as the agent. CO2 is much cheaper than NOS.

That's pretty sweet, I wonder how long the bottle lasts. Summit sells the installation kit for like 350(I think). And the intercooler piece is $95. I hope it does a lot for 450.

ive looked at these "sprayers" too, yet i havent seen any data supporting how well it works, if it works. i wonder if the increase in power is enough to offset the weight and cost of the kit.....why not up the boost?

that tank looks huge! does it recycle the gas or is it like NOS, where you have to charge it every so often?
