i have used crushed and manderal..... the difference is where the actual bend in the piping is, with crushed a 2.5" pipe crushed bent will be a lil bit smaller in diameter because the bend itself will make the diameter of the pipe itself smaller..manderal bent means the bend will be clean and even in diameter through out the whole pipe... i used a 3 " manderal bent on my ls turbo and a 3" crushed ... they both do well... couldnt really tell the difference... crushed is a hella lot cheaper got my crushed setup for 60 bux minus the muffler i have a vibrant 3 " muffler , my manderal bent was custom made cost me 550...i would go for watever is cheaper and then save for a 3inch ....

Mandrel > Crush.

Especially in a turbo application where back pressure absolutely kills horsepower.

its gonna be bout the same with the bends of the crush it will make it about 2.25 in the bends and 2.5" in the rest of the pipe... so yr flow is gonna be about the same in both exhausts,, the crush will be restricted in the bends ...so it will flow less

the problem is not so much from the limited diameter of the pipe, but in the crush itself. The "waves" or ripples in the metal is horrible for flow and smoothness. It creates alot of turbulence and completely kills any chance of a scavenging effect.

spend the extra money on a good mandrel setup...i was a poor college student when i built my first setup *i was 18* and i skimped on the exhaust. I bought a 2.5" and later had to replace it with 3"

...i'm still a poor college student but i'm almost a poor grad student
